One of the best benefits of using maid services is the freedom and time to explore your craftier side. If you like to garden or cook, growing your own herbs inside is a great project.
Even those who have had problems with growing things in the past might find this a lot easier. Before you set it up, though; cover your workspace with newspaper or wax paper to keep the house cleaning looking beautiful.
1. Plant herbs you’re likely to use. If you like to cook, which herbs do you find yourself using the most? Which ones appear repeatedly in your favorite recipes? Those should definitely go at the top of the list. Some common herbs are: basil, oregano, parsley, and thyme, so if you don’t know where to start, they’re a good choice.
2. Use a good pot or container. The best pots for growing your herbs are going to be big enough to allow growth and have holes on the bottom for draining. You can over water plants, so you don’t want to leave them in a pool of water.
3. Leave plenty of room between plants. If you plant several plants in the same container, remember to leave room between them so they can grow without crowding.
4. Find the most well-lit place in your house. Herbs need a lot of light, so find a window that faces the sunlight and position them so the light hits them for most of the day. Every once in a while, turn the pot around—plants will grow towards sunlight, and turning them will help them grow evenly.
5. Water when the soil gets dry. Watering more than necessary can be just as dangerous to a plant as not watering enough, so check the soil before you water, and if it’s not dry, skip that day.
Fresh herbs are the perfect addition to any cook’s toolkit.
