The air in any house carries many contaminants and allergens that affect everyone around it. House cleaning helps, but reducing air pollution is essential to a healthier home for everyone to enjoy.
In taking steps to reduce the contaminants in the air, you will feel better and possibly may even obtain more energy.
As you grace upon the beautiful ray of sunlight entering your home, you notice a stream of dust dancing across the room. That dust is always present and can carry numerous contaminants and allergens that lead to sickness or allergic reactions. For periods where window ventilation is not possible, the pollutants cannot escape the home.
Using air purifiers is a big way to help cut back on those air pollutants and irritants. Choose from floor models and table models with many features like fan speed, oscillation, etc. The more expensive the model, the more filtration and cleaner air you usually get.
An additional technique involves placing window fans in some of the windows. By doing this, you will have that irritating air exhausted to the outside, but make sure to have other windows open to draw in the fresh air. You may have to clean your screens periodically, but the positives outweigh the negatives by far!
In addition, something else to consider when refreshing the air is your vacuum. Cheap models tend to stir up the contaminants while still picking up dirt and debris well. Sure, they clean up the dirt, but kick around the tiny, unfiltered particles. A HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner helps more, but cheaper models tend to let most air escape through openings and ineffectively sealed containers.
A good vacuum will direct most suction straight to the HEPA filter and send out cleaner air.
Air pollutants in your home will never disappear, but at least you can reduce them to a healthier level that most immune systems can handle.
