How to Clean Your Microwave
The stubborn smell inside your microwave can be very irritating and uncomfortable, along with all the stuck-on food grime. Cleaning the microwave frequently can help to prevent stuck-on stains and keep them from causing a foul smell inside your microwave. Below are some good step-by-step cleaning tips you can use to easily clean and deodorize your microwave.
Cleaning Process
- Take a microwave safe bowl and pour in 2 cups of water
- Slice 2 to 3 pieces of lemons into halves and squeeze the juice from the lemons into the bowls.
- Place bowl in microwave and heat the mixer until boiling point. The amount of time the microwave will take to heat the mixer will vary depending on the manufacturer.
- Let the bowl stay in the microwave for about 3 to 5 minutes so that the steam can easily accumulate inside the microwave, loosening the stuck-on food particles.
- Open the microwave and carefully remove the bowl. Remove the rotating glass tray and wash in the sink with dish detergent and water.
- Use warm water mixed with a few drops of dish detergent to clean the whole inside of the microwave and use a paper towel or cloth to dry the interior when done.
- Wash the tray and wipe it with a paper towel. Make sure the tray is completely dry when putting it back to the microwave.
Very Important Note
DO NOT pour water inside the microwave. The openings that direct heat to the microwave should only be wiped with a dry towel.
